It is pathetic. People are protesting against it from Ankara to Alaska but Israel is happily playing Rambo in the theatre of war against the Hamas for packed audiences of anti-Muslim viewers around the world. Yes, the world is supposed to watch live on television American brand of justice metted out to those in the Middle East, in this case Hamas, who refuse to roll over and die.
It is the greatest show on Earth just before the next Obama show in Washington. I wonder if it is anything but prime time television. The networks needed a show after the US elections to fix falling ratings and revenue and to bring back people to the box. The script writers in White House wanted to send a not-so-gentle reminder to 'others' in the Middle East that the US always has Isreal to do its dirty work...so play ball. Now.
If you go through the online editions of news organizations, you will see that the Isreali aggression is billed as 'the live' event and you are asked to sit back and watch it on the net as well as on your television sets. No amount of protesting will change anything. It has been agreed how long or how many episodes will the show have and when would it end. The rest is merely story unfolding itself in blood and gore, right before you in your living room. If the next day a young Muslim decides to take matters in his own hand and blows himself up in a cafe frequented by non-Muslims, it becomes an act of aggression and calls for nothing short of invading another Muslim country or territory.
What are all the bullets, rockets and Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles doing in Gaza, playing Mother Theresa? Not exactly.
